Best-selling Hollywood author to perform at Llangollen Fringe

The best-seJon Ronson. Imagelling author of books such as The Men Who Stare at Goats and The Psychopath Test is to appear at this year’s Llangollen Fringe Festival in July.

Jon Ronson, the man who wrote the novel that paved the way for the 2009 Hollywood blockbuster, will be presenting his new one-man show Frank. The show has already been made into another film which will star Michael Fassbender (X-men: Days of Future Past and 12 Years a Slave), Maggie Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko and Secretary), as well as being directed by Lenny Abrahamson.

Frank is part-comedy and part-memoir and tells the story of a young man called Jon, whose passion for music leads him to join an eccentric band led by titular character Frank Sidebottom. The plot is a tribute to outsider artists making their way in the mainstream world.

Jon will be performing this show at Llangollen Town Hall, Sunday, July 20, 2014, at 8pm.

Tickets are priced at £12, and are available here or by calling the box office on 0800 1455 779
