Crewe and Nantwich Senior Forum held their first of two annual Health & Wellbeing fayres at the Oakley Centre, Crewe.
The second fayre is due to be held on Monday, October 6, and again is expected to attract around 70 exhibitors and hundreds of visitors.
Whilst numbers were down from the 600 plus who attended last year’s event spirits remained high and exhibitors ranged from Wulvern Housing, to the NHS, with various stalls from Cheshire Fire & Rescue service on fire safety and kitchen fires.
Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service displayed their mock kitchen to help demonstrate the most common dangers in the average household kitchen
Throughout the day music was provided by Eric Denyer and Alan Allcock. There were regular talks and classes in the upper areas of the Oakley Centre throughout the day.
The Health & Wellbeing fayre was officially opened at 11am by the Mayor of Crewe, Cllr Pam Minshall and also in attendance was the Mayor of Cheshire East Cllr Wesley Fitzgerald and his Mayoress. Following the opening address were the Funky Choir.
